I can thankfully remote access to the machines and disable the Microsoft Serial Ballpoint Mouse in Device Manager when this occurs, however would like a more permanent fix that I can apply globally. I've tried setting "serialmouse" in the registry to 4 disabled , however somehow this setting manages to revert itself. Can anybody confirm whether this method will stop this driver from installing, or suggest another method for ensuring this doesn't occur?
