Key Points:. T-Mobile, as part of the continuing process to merge the T-Mobile and Sprint networks, pushed out an update to Sprint smartphones, tablets, and mobile hotspots to enable them to roam more easily onto the T-Mobile network.
The PRL tells devices which networks and towers a device can connect to, and the new PRL allows Sprint devices on Sprint plans to automatically and seamlessly roam onto the T-Mobile network, even if there is Sprint coverage available.
Initial reports indicate that this change also applies to our Top Pick Sprint non-profit plans , which offer truly unlimited data on mobile hotspots. The change should allow mobile hotspots on these plans to use whichever network is best at a particular location, greatly expanding the usable coverage map for these plans.
This is the next stage of the eventual integration of Sprint network assets into T-Mobile, as a result of the merger of the two companies. Eventually, the Sprint network will be retired and current Sprint plans and devices will exclusively use the T-Mobile network. For now, this is good news for Sprint customers who can now more fully take advantage of the T-Mobile network while still using the Sprint network.

I have effectively lost access to many Sprint sites, however a few are Sprint keep. You will have to get to 2nd level support, most likely. None of the support people I have spoken with this week had any info on any of the sprint towers they have taken over….
Im in an rv park and we have three 4g access points with t-mobile sims… one of them has a pair of yagi antennas pointed down the road close by and it no longer picks up B41 any more and is instead looking further down the road 12 miles and getting a T-mobile tower. My two TMHI devices are doing the same. Today T-Mobile agreed to send me new SIM cards on Monday to see it that might help if this tower is not talking to the old sim number series they are both many months old…..
I think this will not change until they rework that tower…. I know I just reread most of the stuff from the other day….. My situation is similar to yours. I even drove my gateway to the tower and powered it on and it refused to connect to the tower. Already have an account?
